Madison County Courthouse

The Madison County Courthouse Project was authorized by the General Assembly in 2019, and funding was approved in 2022. The maximum annual use allowance is $22.1 million. Construction was completed in May 2025.

The courthouse was renovated and expanded to increase space and improve security within the historic building. The Project Development Board (PDB) meets on the first Thursday of each month. PDB members include Chair County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor, Vice Chair Family Court Nora J. Shepherd.

The Madison County PDB selected Integrity Architecture to provide design services and D.W. Wilburn to provide construction management services for the project. RSA Advisors served as the financial agent. All three firms are based in Lexington.
