The Barren County Judicial Center Project was authorized by the General Assembly in 2020. The maximum annual use allowance is $50 million.

The project is currently under construction and is anticipated to be completed in 2028. The Barren County Judicial Center will be a three-story facility that houses all court services for Barren County, including circuit and district court, the circuit court clerk’s office and statewide programs.

The Project Development Board (PDB) meets on the first Thursday of the month. PDB members include Jamie Bewley Byrd, Julie Wright Jolly, John T. Alexander, J. Gabriel Pendleton, Rich Alexander and Joan Norris. The Barren County PDB selected Silling Architects and Integrity Architecture to provide design services, Alliance as the general contractor and American Engineers as the engineering firm for the project.
