The Greenup County Judicial Center was authorized by the General Assembly in 2024. The maximum annual use allowance is $3 million. The project is currently under construction and is anticipated to be completed in 2029/2030. The Greenup County Judicial Center will house all court services for Greenup County, including circuit and district court, the circuit court clerk's office and statewide programs.
The Project Development Board (PDB) meets on the third Monday of every month. PDB members include Bobby Hall, District Judge Paul Craft, Circuit Judge Jeffrey L. Preston, Circuit Clerk Allen Reed, Citizen at Large Mayor Cheryl Moore and KBA Rep. Steve McGinnis. The Greenup County PDB has yet to select an architect, construction manager and financial advisor.
