Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health Training

Training Series

The Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health is proud to offer a growing Training Series designed to support and strengthen how courts and communities respond to individuals with behavioral health needs and intellectual/developmental disabilities. This compendium of training modules was developed in direct response to barriers identified by the Commission's multidisciplinary workgroups. Each training is crafted to provide practical knowledge, promote collaboration and encourage best practices across systems.

The series is intended for all audiences—judges, court personnel, attorneys, behavioral health professionals, law enforcement and community members alike. Whether you're seeking to understand a specific issue more deeply or looking for tools to improve your response, these modules offer meaningful, accessible learning opportunities. New trainings will be added on an ongoing basis as the Commission continues to listen, learn, and lead efforts to build a more informed and compassionate justice system for all Kentuckians. If you have ideas on additional training needs, please contact us here.
